The waterproof bag holds an emergency whistle, mini Gerber Paraframe knife, fire starter, cotton ball fire tinder, waterproof matches, wire snare, and emergency cord. 私は、これを基本キットとして、針と糸ボタン安全ピン等が入った小さな裁縫セット（100均で購入）と単4電池1本のLEDライト（ジェントス-パトリオ４）、小さなコンパス、バンドエイド数枚を防水ケース内に入れました。（笛は外へ格納しました。）
外側の袋と防水ケースの間に余裕があったので、エマージェンシーブランケットとスーパーのバック２枚、前記した笛を格納。
このセットで、山菜採り、ハイキング等の軽い山歩き時にザックの中に入れて遭難時の対策。（冬山等、本格登山時には、これぐらいの装備はしているでしょうから、不要ですね。）出勤時に鞄に入れて、災害等による帰宅困難時の対策とそれぞれ対応できるのではないかと考えています。
このキットとともに、水筒・ペットボトル等水分、カロリーメイト等食糧、小型ラジオ、家から勤務地までの地図があればかなり安心感があると思います。

ナイフが想像していたよりも小さいながらに重量感があり意外と良かったです。
キットはビニールのジッパー付きケースに収納されています。
必要最小限のサバイバル用品ですが、ファイヤー・スターター（火打石のようなもの）と火口、
救助を呼ぶ際の笛が入っているので震災などの時にも役だってくれることでしょう。
アメリカのAmznでも買えます。
一般のご家庭の避難袋にも是非。

ナイフだけで★5価値あり。
他はまるで使えないけど。
ファイヤースタータはかなり難しい。黒い被膜を落とし銀色にしないと火花が飛ばない。
マグネシウム金属棒がプラスチックからすぐ外れで落ちるので瞬間接着剤で固めておく必要あり。
火打ち金はあまり使い勝手が良くないので、ナイフで火花を飛ばす。
まあ火打ち金でも出来なくはないが、角を丸めてる箇所をつかうと滑って火花が飛ばない。かなり練習が必要。
防水マッチは付属の発火具では発火しない。表面が滑ってしまうため。
